This fall, let fragrance touch your body and soul. Even though the days are still bright and beautiful, fall has already arrived. The trees are slowly turning yellow and red, and a few leaves are scattered on the ground. Summer has always made my heart beat faster, but fall feels deeply romantic. It’s like stepping inside the paintings I used to create, or living in the American movies I watched as a child. Over the years, I’ve realized that I now live in the place I once dreamed of. Having experienced a few autumns here, I can say the city truly smells like pumpkin and cinnamon. People slow down, kitchens come alive, and the air fills with aromas of bread, cakes, and roasted meals. Our sense of smell is such a powerful bridge to memory and emotion – it only reveals its magic when lived through experience. 🍂 This fall, I’ll be hosting a special workshop here in London, Ontario. Together we’ll explore the scents that nourish us during this season – like anise, cinnamon, and cardamom. We’ll prepare our skin for the colder days through the ancient practice of oiling, while learning the language of perfumery: top, heart, and base notes. ✨ What we’ll do together: Explore the natural extracts of the season Learn the art of perfume composition Discover how plants can support our bodies during cold days Create and blend your own oil perfume Bless and anoint the fragrance you’ve made DISCOVER MORE ABOUT THE WORKSHOP HERE And because I love to share, here’s a simple fall recipe you can try at home: 3 drops of essential oil in 1 tablespoon of carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond) Cypress is a wonderful choice for autumn – it supports transitions and grounding Store in a small glass bottle with a cap Apply gently on your forehead, heart, or wrists as a ritual of self-connection Fall is about slowing down, nourishing beauty, and letting fragrance touch both body and soul. I’d love to welcome you to this journey. Warmly,Carolina Zaina.

DRIFT: My new wellbeing collection Every year, I choose a word to walk with me through the months.  Usually, it’s something I want to cultivate — or something I need to face. This year, my word is Lightness. Next August, I’ll turn 44.  And lately, I’ve been reflecting a lot on the journey so far.  I feel deeply grateful for the life I’ve lived and the path I’ve walked —  each choice, each turn, each corner I’ve taken shaped who I am today. For the first time, I can look at the challenges and still celebrate myself.  But I’m also aware that, along the way, I’ve carried a lot. It’s a metaphor, of course — but it’s how I felt:  my bag was too heavy.  I was so focused on carrying everything  that I was forgetting to enjoy the journey. So I decided to sit down and open that bag.  To really look inside. I found things that weren’t mine —  beliefs, fears, expectations inherited from my grandmother, my parents, my sister, my partner… Things I had been carrying without noticing. So I gently put them aside. Then I found pieces that were once mine,  but don’t fit anymore — like clothes from a past version of me.  Even though I cherish the child I carry within,  I had to choose which memories still serve me for the road ahead. In the end, my bag became lighter.  Not empty — never empty — but spacious. Breathable. Alive. I know I’ll have to open it again at some point.  But for now, with this new bag in my hands, I stand up.  And walk on. A fresh breeze touches my face.  There’s a green, floral scent in the air — soft and bright.  It reminds me: I don’t have to carry it all. It’s the scent of White Rose. Inspired by this moment, I created a fragrance for well-being.  A 10ml bottle — light enough to carry with you.  Crafted with intention, using natural ingredients.  A reminder to come back to yourself. The first creation is called DRIFT.  With white rose and neroli at its heart,  and the fresh clarity of bergamot at the top. DRIFT. You don’t have to carry it all.     Crafted in Canada · 100% natural · 10 ml · Small-batch production BUY  NOW

The Day I Launched a Perfume in Paris The PATUÁ Collection was born from a deep longing for the place we come from. According to physician Dr. Gabor Maté, every human being is born with two essential needs: belonging and authenticity. When we choose to immigrate to other lands, both of these core needs are put to the test. Each of us reacts in our own way. These feelings live in everyone — and some people choose to face them, while others pass through these experiences unconsciously. Of all the senses, smell is still the one most deeply connected to memory. As Martin Lindstrom points out, 75% of the emotions we experience daily are affected by scent. Right after sight, it is the most powerful sense we have. Creating PATUÁ was my way of bringing together scientific knowledge and emotional truth — a desire to belong, to feel held. When I asked a group of Brazilians living abroad what scent they missed the most, 90% said it was the smell of the beach. And that’s how PATUÁ came to life — a fragrance with a heart of Wild Pitanga from the Brazilian Cerrado, Sage, and Lavender, evoking the fresh, comforting feeling of ocean breeze. It took many months of testing, researching, and feeling — until I arrived at a fragrance that truly captured the warmth of the Brazilian sea. A scent that brings back childhood memories. A perfume to cleanse the soul. In the middle of this creative journey, I had the opportunity to travel to France — to immerse myself in the world of French perfumery. And with immense joy, I launched PATUÁ in Paris, at the iconic Le Bon Marché gallery, receiving attention from the French press and experienced perfume evaluators. A lifelong dream came true. And I couldn’t have imagined a better way to begin this magical journey through the sensory world of perfume. Below, you’ll find some press highlights and photos from this very special event. https://moifemmes.com/
